hey Chanmin, i think you can probably add a little more authenticity to your relic by aging the PG and plastic parts as well. theres a website called relicdeluxe with a good tutorial on ageing the plastic parts. (;


AWESOME!

i tried COFFEE and TEA... saturated to the max. i soaked everything in for an hour and it did absolutely nothing except waste my time.

i now realise i did not wet sand it with 1000grit.
(i did use the pickguard as a frisbee for awhile to relic it)

i'll most definitely be trying out the stain method.

Apparently I tried coffee too but it aged the selector tip but not the vol / tone knobs... I have also tried the website method of amber stain spraying the plastic parts then rebuffing to matt and while it is a tedious task, it does yield good results if you are patient.

I was lucky to find the really old pup covers, knobs etc at Dan music

Tak lah ..this srv is gonna be for studio use (jaming & rehersals) and "dodgy" pubs..

my blackie for corporate events etc
