my guitar problem

currently i have a j suzuki SG.its a pretty beaten up guitar.bought it from my big bro friend.dings here n there.rusty hardware.pickups like shit.nut not in good condition.a knod is loose because of my brother.switch faulty.an judging from all the problem i have stated.how much would it cause to change the hardware,fixing the nut and loose knob?

Not everyone can afford a new guitar as much as they want to.

Musgrave, you could try taking it to a repair shop and asking them to quote you a price before you decide if you want to repair it. Or save up for a new guitar if you really, really have to. Good luck. Don't give up.

With a budget of 200 bucks, I doubt he could repair a guitar of that condition anyway. It's good advice to buy a new guitar because repairing that guitar will probably cost more than the price of the guitar itself and could be put towards buying a decent guitar instead.

very true..repairing a guitar that beat up will cost close to $700, maybe more. might as well get a decent guitar brand new.

you can try changing the pickups and if the bridge all like shit , you can try setting it up at standard value by mike , his great . but through setup , if you know someone better , go for it , cause it can be great. i last month went to one shop at bras brasa and one guy help me setup my fender delux , it was great! haha

I think its better u buy new guitar. there are lots at city hall area.
just take some time to look.

Sounds like you got fleeced.
Just get a new guitar and use this as x'mas decoration. I hardly think it'll sound any good, and it's not worth the money to restore a guitar like that.
