my guitar neck

hey guys...question here...
i dropped my bass this evening becos my bag strap broke and it fell flat on it's back...when i reached home and checked the damage...the back of the neck cracked...like one very nice bracket shaped crack ( <-- like this...and when i tighten the strings the neck bends till there's a very visible gap...

so my question is...should i change the neck or is this nothing to worry about.
if i am to change it is there any where that offers a good price?

you have to change the neck.
provided your neck is a bolt on.


try bring it to guitar connection, find KC

Well, depending on the severity of the crack, you may also be able to glue the neck back. Just bring the bass down to a guitar tech and let him have a look at it.
