My guitar neck bends.

My guitar's neck is not straight with the body. It bends behind the body if you know what i mean. And when i lift up the guitar from the neck, it creates a sound like when you press down on a whammy bar. Its a lespaul.
Can someone advice??

is it like those down-bow or low-bow neck problems. Yeah i have tt problem too. IDK the actual cause but from my experience, humidity causes such probs cos once i left it out at my living room and there was direct hit from the sun and it was very humid one day, suddenly the next time i picked my axe up i saw that my neck was kinda bended behind the body. I think it needs truss rod adjustment but dont adjust anyhow later got buzz...

neck relief? advice? send it to a tech for checking or set up..

Erm... Is the neck by itself straight, but not in-line with the body? I heard it's a design characteristic for Les Pauls, including their copies.

It's normal. A les paul, or les paul copy's neck is at an angle to the body.

Whether the neck itself is straight or not is a separate matter.

I'm outside now, but if I have time I'll take a photo of my les paul copy for you to reference.

Okay, from what you are saying, I gather that you are bending the neck. Otherwise the pitch would not change (the whammy bar reference).

Please do not lift you guitar by the neck in such a way that it puts stress on it such that it bends.

Unless of course you are seeking to destroy it.

Hope this helps.

Yeah its at an angle. So its normal? But the main problem is when i apply pressure the sound dips, my friend told me that my neck is 'loose'

BTW its a craftsman LP. Bought at citymusic
