Dude!! Respect to You!! Nice set-up!! Gorgeous!! Lovely!!!

Maybe shkd come ur place and jam sia!

Thanks!

Thanks for the interest dude! Took great pains to save up man! hahaha. i still suck, but hey, u can come and jam with it.. I can charge u a nominal rate for the air-con usage in my room + wear & tear of drum skins :P WAHAHAHAHA. just joking, well, i am still doing up my room, so keep in touch - it's not impossible! :D Rock on.

.

I live in Bedok Reservoir :D hahaha.. give me probably a week or something. I'm still cleaning up my room for recording equipments. :P

Haha

neighbours didnt complain.. 7 years already.. they complained only if i played after 9pm. Cos my house top floor corner ma.. so if sound travelled, it has to go past my living room to the next neighbour, and the surrounding sides of me are air! its only downstairs, when i kick the bass.. gets a bit noisy. :P so i might consider buying auralex platforms.. see how la.. no money.. :P macintosh cost me 5k already. :S

Eh dude. Nice cymbal array there. I got a sua-koo question: How far foward is your ride cymbal ah? I noticed 3 toms in total, which means the ride is further than 'usual' la. 2nd sua-koo question: How much you spend ah??

impressive! i dont see your phil collins ride though, havn set it up yet? and ard how much is the 16 k dark crash ah? thinkin bout getting one

Haha!

Err.. ok.. cymbals wise.. That one on display was a Sabian Hand Hammered Raw Bell Ride (Phil Collins Ltd Edn). I used my Flat Top ride for a performane and hasnt set it up yet. Haha.. erm.. and lets see, ride positioning wise, the circumference of the ride 2 inches forward of the left tom. I can accent with the bell though if i am fully stretched. Haha.. Thanks for commenting. :) Appreciate it.. And ya.. killing two birds with one stone - lets see.. my setup roughly 10k, without recording equipments, and laptop, and gig hardware such as drum cases, trap cases and sound treatment products. If include about 20k. hahaha.. The crashes vary from 300 bux onwards for a new one - most of my cymbals are partly more expensive because i bought them long ago in the US, when price was pretty inflated then. And 300 bux we are looking at probably 16'. :) But i suck in drums, i play like a 2 year old kid.. i guess i need to practise more. hahaha..

Let me be the first to say this, request for driver shots! :D

Very lovely kit! And nice mactel too! I see that you have your overhead mics setup already. What mics are those and what other mics do you intend to use for the close miking?

And just curious, I notice you have rockwool panels (?) set up there, may I know where you bought them from and how much do they cost?

Again, I must say, that is a very nice kit and the whole recording setup only makes it better. Count me in when shred5 decides to drop-by, I would love to bang it myself .

haha sry, its quite obvious that the ride in ur pic is not a flat top haha... mus have missed that... and are u sure they cost oni 300 sing? na... i think its more ex now... 300 is pretty cheap for a brand new k dark crash nowadays, even second hand are more ex than 300 i think?

hahaha..

ok.. i will include more driver shots... :) and i will definitely inform you, just let me know ya? haha.. and, i am using samson overheads la.. they're not too bad, but well.. i have no budget :P I bought them as part of the 7 piece drum kit, but i selling the other components, cos it sucks. I plan to use shure 57's or audix elite series.. but most likely shure's.. cos audix series about 6000. and.. erm.. bass drum mike, i might use certain condensers, maybe rode rt3 or something.. i havent really figured. Haha.. no money la.. I suck at drums too.. so dont know to invest or not. :p As for rockwool panels.. i made them myself.. basically, try this company "San Ho Timber Pte Ltd" at Bukit Batok West Ave 4 - Techlink Bldg for the wood frame and backboard.. try www.framework.com.sg - 2 Aljunied Road, they sell rockwool by the bale of 6 X (1.2m X 0.6m) at 24 bucks if u know the guy.. Try to ask for P.S Tan - he's very helpful. and to prevent the rockwool fibreglass particles from coming out through the openings of the hessian cloth covering, buy polyester batting from Spotlight in Plaza Singapura.. get 1kg of it, can last u for everything.. its 17.90. And hessian cloth, try this shop near Tiong Bahru there.. i forgot the shop name.. its on seng poh road, try to get the exact shop from yellowpages.com.sg. They are categorised under gunnysack dealers and its sold at 70c a yard. and to glue the frame together, use a caulking gun and industrial wood adhesive called max-bond. upon contact, leave it for 2 days to cure before doing anything. And to attach the cloth to the frame, use staple guns.. lots of them.. i used 100 bullets per frame.. :P I am trying to buy a platform also, because neighbours started to complain yesterday :P

As for the cymbals.. the last time i noticed them at yamaha its like 362 for a 16'', and if you have some yamaha card, got 10% off. Haha.. anyways, i think their price went up recently, because i noticed my flat bell ride selling at 618 dollars.. which was a far cry from what is last saw 1 year back at 530. Please advice. :) To all of you, take care ya.. But i still suck :(

Bird's eye view... Check the pedals out and the HH. I might get a cobra clutch when i get better.. :P The main pedal is partially covered by my collie - a dog... :P so don't mind .. hahah
