Hi peeps, i'm feeling bored today so took out my strat, plugged in the ME-50 and recorded some solo over a backing track i found here at SOFT some time back.
Recorded a vid of me 'solo sync-ing', then mix all the rojak into iMovie...
...and pardon my sloppy playing, hehe (but to those who seriously want to learn the sloppy-unorthodox-anyhow-hantam techniques, i'd be glad to help )
Strat Jam #1

Edit : Anyway, i've got queries as to some of the techniques used in my solo. I'm not much of an expert/pro; sloppy is my middle name, haha. But i try to answer and share what little knowledge i have with anyone keen...and please correct me if i'm wrong in any way. I'll try to video-post the techniques bit by bit when i have the time...cheers !
Lick #1 : Here's where i incorporate the so-called 3 notes per string licks (section 0:30 - 0:35 of the Strat Jam). I love this technique coz if executed correctly and up to speed, it definitely sounds cool.

Lick #2 : 5-string sweep tap and slide (using neck pickup) is what i'm playing here (section 0:58 - 01:14 of the Strat Jam). Sweeping as you all know, it's one of the difficult stuff to do but definitely impressive if you can pull it off (or in my case, bluff it off, hehe). What are you waiting for? Take out your broom lah !

(Though this is a strat jam but in this example, i used my PGM3 instead)
