Hi everyone 8-)

i think it would be more fitting to talk about music in a music forum. this thread is where the CD Talk 2007 left off but it's not limited to CD releases discussions. share what you acquired, include some comments perhaps...

my first 3 for '08:

Ravencult: Temples of Torment
*great BM from greece

Brian Setzer Orchestra: Live in Japan
*the great Setzer as potent live as he is on record; recommended

Pat Metheny: Speaking of Now LIVE
*witness how shred-worthy Metheny is & all that with only ONE pickup in his Ibanez...

Radiohead - In rainbows

Slightly better than their previous Hail to the Thieves. But still a slow burner, grows on you after only a few listens. Hope they come to Singapore

late February acquisitions:

Hate Eternal: Fury & Flames

Behexen: My Soul for His Glory

Carlie Hunter is really really good. Amazing finger-picking. I have never seen that kind of 8 string guitar, with separate pick-ups for bass strings and treble strings, and also with 2 guitar cords coming out of it!!

Behexen... Is not bad. Finnish black metal. It's worth it.

I'm waiting for Immortal's release too.

And I can't wait to get Norther's N within the next two weeks.

i'm a fan of Behexen, this album isn't as intricate as the previous release.

Immortal fans should check out Dead to This World, featuring ex-bassist Iscariah. you can hear more of his capacity in this album than the shadow he was in Immortal.

Prolly never. You gotta go to them these days.

Mr. Thomas Edward Yorke refuses to fly these days. So they only tour Europe. The upcoming US tour is boh pian cuz the market is huge.

Albums I anticipate:

Adagio - Archangels in Black
The album will reflect a shift from their original power metal sound to extreme metal. Can't wait to hear it.

Praxis - Profanation (Preparation for a Coming Darkness)
Jazz, heavy metal, whatever. Interesting and weird blend of musical inspirations.

BucketHead - Untitled studio album
Unconfirmed... hope it is true. Wanna get my ears busted by his weird electric noises/music again.

Opeth - Watershed (June 3, 2008)
Weird album title...

Metallica - Unnamed ninth album
Good or bad, it is the album everyone wants to hear.
