Music organizer

Hi guys!
I have a huge music collection and faced a problem: how to organize it and put everything in order. I heard of specialized music software that can handle that task and track where my CDs are. The problem is that I often forget whom I give this or that CD. If somebody uses such music library organizers, could you please give me an advice?

I’d like to share my own experience in my search for music collection organizer if anyone’s interested.
During the last week I’ve tried out a bunch of music catalogue software. After some time I realized that Helium Music Manager was the option that suited me well at that point. It works with playlists easily and does what it takes to put your music library in order. The interface is bright and quite impressing. I’m really into internet radio listening and it supports streaming as well. But there are some insufficiencies that make me continue my search for a music manager: Helium can’t handle the task of tracking my albums on CDs and DVDs, of which I seem to have many. Also one can add album only if its files are on the HDD or in CD-ROM currently, so you can’t use Helium as browser of what you have or what you want to. I’d like my music organizer to be more informative, so I’ll keep on searching for a better option and could still use your suggestions.

Hi! I’ve found a very promising music manager recently called Musicnizer. I’d recommend all music collectors to take a look at it. It’s a very useful tool for cataloguing your media collection that automatically downloads all necessary information about albums, artists and creates some kind of a database with advanced searching and sorting capabilities. Adding albums is possible in several ways, and Musicnizer keeps track of CD’s location notifying you if somebody has borrowed it. I like the way this program works with artists and their discographies. Reports of my music collection are comprehensive as well. The interface is easy to use and not overloaded. So, give it a try, it’s worth your time
