Hey guys my name is Josh and i've been a drummer for bout 6yrs now..
I started drumming in church and advanced from there, recorded a few cover songs and a christian album in 2003.. I play mainly funk and pop. Just like to ask how do i get my band going doing live gigs playing our own original songs, of course the organizer will get a demo cd to listen before putting us up on stage. Thanks!
Also where do we find producers and labels that will at least hear our music? Where does the band start off from? Thanks guys !
ps: Right now the band only has a bassist and a drummer and a (not so confirmed guitarist as he is v busy with Uni. So we have or might gotta see from there...)

woah.so fast let labels listen already!ahahahaha.try to get gigs and establish ur name first.

you dont have to establish yourself or have loads of gigs experience before approaching the record labels. as long as you feel you are the best out there!

ok, i dont think there are any major singapore record label. so the best is to look at the prints on those CDs that are similar sounding as your music and look them up.

as for getting gigs, there are call for participation on SOFT every other day. Read through the forum diligently.
