Multi-Efx or Multiple Pedals?

Hi just asking for opinions. would you rather get a multi-efx unit or multiple pedals?

And which is the best brand for Multi-efx unit? and the best brand for pedals?

Hmm, this question comes up alot. There are many multi-efx brands like KORG,Line6,Boss. Sure, you'll probably get the digital sound that many guitarists avoid but it is a much more affordable option especially if you're looking to experience new sounds. If i wanted a long term multi efx on my board, it'd be eventide pedals and the tc g-system.

A thing to note would be that this pedals do not have distortion or overdrive in them.
Mainly because most guitarists like their distortion and overdrive to be touch-sensitive and 'real'. Moreover, tehre is a huge range of distortion and overdrive sounds just from this two terms. Low gain, high gain, tubescreamer tone etc...

Lastly, some guitarists prefer individual effect pedals because of its simplicity as compared to the multi-efx pedals.

Just some thoughts after trying loads of pedals...
