hey all.
how many artist's MTV Unplugged concerts have you seen/heard?
any recomendations?

i have only heard and seen Nirvana's on youtube.
simply loved the acoustic sound.

what abt u guys & gals?

for Stone Temple Pilots fans, their MTV unplugged was awesome! intimate and stripped down with Scott Weiland on a rocking chair, Dean DeLeo used a 12 stringer..i love their renditions of Crackerman and a swingy version of Sex Type Thing.

Pearl Jam's MTV Unplugged also kicked ass..Dave Abruzzese on drums. total grunge madness. Not forgetting Alice In Chains Unplugged too! the late Layne Stayley's supposed last public appearance/performance before ODing himself to death. Look out for Nutshell, IMO the most depressing song one can ever begin a gig with. heh. :?

I've seen Latin band Mana's unplugged too. bit grand for an unplugged session but nonetheless..gets the job done. :D
Oye Mi Amor!

If u guys dun mind pop music, then ur can try out Alanis Morisette & The Corrs too. Great sets. Bryan Adams did one if i din remember wrongly.

Dashboard Confessional's one was pretty good. Best audience participation I've ever seen, but Clapton's unplugged was the best overall in my opinion... Especially when he did a redone version of Layla.

I bought the Corrs Unplugged album, it was awesome to say the least. And Alanis Morrisette's unplugged is good too. I've heard a couple from Alice In Chains, great stuff.

that pearl jam performance was awesome! even with grainy video and poor sound quality.

you guys might wanna search for VH1 Storytellers on youtube. i remember smashing pumpkins and quite a mind blowing dave matthews band performance (2 acoustic guitars, lead guitarist was superb). Also, google AOL sessions. they used to feature mainly acoustic performances i think.
