Most popular Local band?

There are many bands in Singapore who aim to make it big, but many of them failed to do so. The ones that remain are the bands that usually have gigs all over Singapore, or maybe slightly more than gigs. I'm interested to know what are you opinions on the most popular local band (not solo singers) in Singapore?

i think they should have a sound that can stick in someones mind without having the mp3 plugged into the ear.apart from that i dont see any bands being able to do so.

to me, a vacant affair gets my vote. i rmb the first time i heard crestfallen and the departure, and i went WHOA! went back, search for their myspace, got hook on to them since

you wanna be popular, you must have mass appeal. it is simple logic. no point alternative here and there unless you have the influence to change music tastes of the mainstream

I'd have to say most popular band with the most 'die-hard' fans would be PLAINSUNSET. I'm not a big fan or anything, but everytime they play a gig...

1. Turnout is always awesome
2. Everyone sings along (hair stand!)

and they've been around for so long :/

7 Pound Vein takes the crown for most hardcore fans. So hardcore that the cirple pits look like theres spinning blades in them.

but does e biggest crowd means the best??? no man. some of them just haven get pple to listen to them. mayb when they played and the audience like it. but they(the audience) just forgot to listen to the first part where they intro their band name...........so its a miss

I'd say it's Stomping Ground. Eh wait.. dat was long time ago already. hehehe

It's Plain Sunset, been ard and surviving for many many years. They've even toured Germany some time back, along with top bands from Europe.

So are they good?.. U tell me

exatly - cos most popular bands including the "cari makan" working club musos are also in the sub category and have their own followers who are the real "bread and butter" ppl of the clubs and bands.
