ok great... i'm so pissed right now... this friend (same guy from the sling guitar length low = loser thread) says that i'm a loser for, guess what? listening to music... from the same CD!

it went like this:
we 2 bought the same CD, he liked one song, ONLY ONE from the whole album, we discussed abt it on msn, i liked a few others, but not the one he liked, and he called me a loser for that!!! and he also thinks i'm a poor bastard for having a squier, while his bassist uses a fender aerodyne jazz bass. and a loser for listening to fall out boy and afi, while he listens to panic! at the disco, blink-182 (we both listen to blink-182 though) even though we both enjoy indie music, he calls me a loser for listening to those that he does not like! and he thinks that everyone that listens to punk and emo "slits their wrists and hopes to die" and "they have no life" and he goes around school proclaiming that! i am extremely pissed and confused right now and despite my best efforts to ignore those comments, i am reaching my limit...

i won't be able to do that, because he claimed his band got signed to a record label and that they can promote their music in the U.S... :?

Hey regardless of what genre it is, Just play whatever you like. Play it with enthusiasm and passion. I'm sure u guys would sound goood. Ignore critics. Those posers are just following the soo called IN thing trend, indie just becos of Panic! At the disco. But actually its not becos of the genre cos they're good. Just play punk rock, you'll be unique. But u must play it nicely. All the best.

Show it to him, its not about how expensive the equipment is but its the skills that counts. Then when you become a professional, you can backfire words at him.

Dude, i tell you one thing. Metalheads would make fun of him like mad i swear. All musicians get criticised, take it as an encouragement to make you better and train harder. Just look at other bands like Caracal and Set For Glory etc.. People insulted them in the past, but just look at how good they are now.
