Hi all.. i'm having a stall at Far East Square (76 Telok Ayer St) this Saturday from 2pm onwards.. i'm bringing my VS pedals n a few used pedals, my Laney VC30, Gibson SG n Cort hollow body.. anybody who wants to try them out can just come down and can bring your own gear to play around if you want..

And anyone who wants to sell their stuff can contact me too!!

yeah, good luck for the event. Maybe can take some pics and post here :D

will be working over this weekend, if not, think it be nice to drop by and say hi :D

used effects.. er.. JH1S (jimi hendrix wah special), EH clone theory.. EH big muff (NYC).. yamaha phase shifter PS100.. Realistic parametric EQ.. i'll throw in discounts at the stall..

sunday.. actually i m not too sure.. might have jamming after that so i guess i'll pack up at about latest 6pm.. i'll make sure i'll be there till at least 5pm..

regarding opening a shop in future.. HAHA.. i certainly hope so.. but i m tied down by all these pedals.. it will be for a while before some permanent place pops up.. meanwhile, i'll at least find places so people can come n try the stuff.. if not, i'll stick to my "your place or mine" plan..

any suggestions?

Heyo, I'll try to make it down on Sunday afternoon....

you could find a cheap n small shopspace some place thats off central. Somewhat like wakemeupmusic, provide jamming facilities meanwhile. cause i think just an efx shop, would be hard i think !

or meanwhile stick to having flea market like things... you could even go down to schools (nus/ntu) when they have bazaars and all...

or have collaborations with existing shopfronts....but that would mean... a slice of the profitpie....

talk to you more when i see you !

thanks boss..

yeh tot about these before.. the rent for shopspace is almost $1000 per month.. can't afford that.. for the NUS thing.. i'll try but those are mainly on weekdays n i have my job.. so it's difficult..

though it's not the best way to go about it.. somehow i like it this way.. it's more personal, in a way.. at least for now.. heheh

Interesting thing about the pedal board. I might get from you next time when my effects collection grows.

OT alittle: Any good delay pedals to recce apart from Boss. No digitech delay. No preference for analog or digital delay.

I think the "your place or mine" is a good way to go for now. I think it's much cooler this way. Plus, you'll get this really exclusive cult following :) and I will help spread by word of mouth, as I'm sure the good people of Soft.com will also.

hey hey.. thanks for all the suggestions n encouragements!!

well Lifehouse.. i'll be bringing the H2O n DE7 down at Far East SQ.. if u haven't got anything on n you'll like to hear some echoes.. u can either put in Pink Floyd in ur HiFi or u can come n play around w the pedals.. haha.. i know that's really dumb but i jus gotta get it out..

oh yah another thing.. anyone interested in getting the Reverend guitars?.. they offered me dealership but i donno if i can afford them so if there r quite a handful who are really interested.. i can try..

I'll be away for church event for the whole weekend so I doubt I can make it for the bazaar. How is the H20 like in terms of delay, say compared to DD-3?

Btw, I would like to get the adapter for the GT2 if you have. Drop me a PM about the price etc.. Thank you.

well in short.. H2O is wamer n DD3 is more digital sounding.. i havent played too much of DD3 to comment too much about it but i used to play w my friend's RV3 n i must say it's shitty!! pardon me but it jus didnt work for me.. n also the CS3.. after that i pretty much never touch any BOSS..

but i'm sure there are some cool stuff outta them.. it's just about personal preference.. so like everyone says.. "do try them out yourself"..

sounds like digital vs analog...

for me, I owned 2 digital efx before: Zoom GFX-8 and Behringer V-Amp 2. While they can give long delays and all, the delayed signal is just too clear and pristine.... somewhat like unnatural. This might not be too bad for delays though, some might like it.

However, when I used their chorus, they sounded too edgy and clear sounding. its like pristine, but not lush...

Digital distortion/modelling doesn't really work for me too. Perhaps I've only used the lower ended digitalstuff and well, not in a good position to say.

i have tried line6 DL4 , with all the sounds that u can have.. n with the looping function, it's amazing.. n i have the MM4, which is great too.. the effects are very close to the originals but if you put them side to side with the originals.. you'll definitely hear the differences.. some effects are so usable while others create volume dips and all.. in a whole i don't mind line6 at all..

the memory man n DL4 is about the same price.. but most would pick line6 in an instance given the variety she has.. same for me too.. but in the long run, i would still go back to the memory man..

eh a big thank you for all those who came n patronize my little stall last weekend.. no stall this week though.. it's BAYBEATS!!!.. the stall will return next week..

Lastgasp Art Laboratories from Japan arrived yesterday!!!..
mad mad stuff.. they r just out of this world..
