superkicky...was wondering how does the Audere sounds..what was ur previous setup & bass?.....i believe u ordered it online....

i have a warwick thumb5 BO....love the growl..but lack of low mids and thin sounding especially when slapping...was thinking of changing the pups to Bartolini's....cos frm forums and what i feel myself..the original pups, MECs, are a little too brittle...

Hmm. I played an MIJ Fender Aerodyne Jazz. *google it* Bought it recently.

anyway, i feel it's lacking in electronics and pups. I cant feel the warm of the instrument in my heart. If the instrument dun ministered to my heart, i find it really hard to play, even a simple song, or a simple lick. I've been fiddling with it ard, trying to get the tone out, tweaking the knobs here and there, but still cant get anything out that really wad i wanna feel.

or was it, the bassist's prob? haa.

FYI, it's a J bass, with p/j config. with j as bridge pickups and p closer to neck.
Also,
I use a 20 watts Peavey Mircobass as amp.

Try using tube technology for additional warmth. I never liked single coils by the way. Humbuckers give a fuller sound. Single coils sound thin to me.
