MI Audio Tubezone

Any idea on how to get rid of this very distinct hum or "buffering" sound when the pedal is turned on? I heard the Tubezone is true bypass so I'm very curious of why it is like that:/

Probably try to lower the gain of the pedal... Are you on Single Coils? That pedal is heavy overdriven... probably just the nature of the beast.Good pedal.

Do you even know what is 'buffer' and 'true bypass'?

Go and find the information on the internet on these 2 terms. Your problem is with the pedal itself, most high gain pedals have a hiss going on. Sometimes it's the power supply in use, sometimes the patch cable, sometimes even the grounding of the amp. If not its simply the noise floor on the pedal.

True bypass or buffered bypass has nothing to do with how noisy the pedal is.

You're probably using a One Spot or some cheap power supply. An isolated power supply like the Voodoo Labs Pedal Power will significantly reduce the amount of hiss or hum.

And if you're using single coils, there WILL be hum from the pickups unless they are noiseless pickups. And most super high gain distortion pedal will have some sort of hiss going on, that's just how it is.

I have a Tube Zone. That thing is quiet, even with gain maxed out (except single coils, ofcos). So, it could be your power supply.
