Hey people... was wondering if anyone knows where I can find mesa amps in Singapore and what the price range is like for the rectifier series and perhaps the F series (F-50 in particular). Im not in the country at the moment and the online shops like sweelee don't really have a very broad catalogue of preamps... Have emailed them but they're not very responsive.

used to know of the shop down in sim lim square brought in mesa stuff. Esden trading the name. You might want to chk out yellow page for their number and chk with them on whether are they still briging in mesa amp.

Not too sure on pricing. As for sweelee, dont bother, they aint gonna answer email much.......

Not only swee lee, the others also. I've sent email to davis, luther, swee lee, all music, guitar gallery and sinamex. The only one reply the next day is guitar gallery and sinamex reply almost one week later, after i've buy their cables. The rest, i can't even smell them. So their sale contact email is really bogus.

Ok....seems like Mesa is not too big in sg. Firstly I suppose it's because most of their amps are hand-made and therefore $$$, tho im not sure exactly how much in sg. I could possibly get an amp head from here, and then buy a cabinet in sg. But im not sure if the power ratings are the same... anybody know what it is in sg?

On the downside, the warranty won't be valid in sg, altho mesa is suppose to be a reliable brand. And im not sure if amp technicians there will be able to work on it if it needs repairing, assuming there are no more dealers in sg. I checked out the official mesa boogie website and it didnt list any Singaporean dealers. The closest one is in Jakarta, Indonesia.

not that mesa not big in spore. There are not much dealer bringing it in and also the cost for their stuff would be too high for normal hobbist. I believe even if there are dealer bringing their stuff in, it would be at least 1.5k-2k sgd(or more) and above for just their combo amp. As for the high cost, imho, part of it is due to the brand. There are other booteek amp which are really hand built, ptp wiring and cost less than mesa. As for mesa being handbuilt, that cud be just part of what its really is, iam rather skeptical bout that.

Spore power rating at 230v, 50 hz. How about your area? Cab are passive, wont have any problem as long as impedance are match with amphead/combo impedance setting

As for amp tech here, i believe that there are a few here. With the schematic of the amp, some troubleshooting can still be done to clear minor fault(non tranformer related). But one thing to note is that, for most amp, if within the warranty period, something goes wrong and a amp tech(unauthorised by mesa) open up and check, the warranty would be void.

Ahhh...! A guy on ebay is offering me £610 (S$1860) on his dual rectifier. It's a bargain!!! Considering the RRP for these babies are near £2000 for a solo head... Now I just have to resolve the power issue. He says it works up to 240V. Would that work in sg??? He's even willing to share the shipping costs if I want it sent direct to sg, although I'd technically like to inspect it first before taking it there. Says it's in mint condition and he's only selling it off because he needs the money. So any electricians out there who can tell me if this thing will work on the singapore power rating? I know you said it's 230V in sg, but some other guy on another forum said it's 240V.... ???

By the way, not sure if it's the same thing, but i bought a 10W Ibanez 2 years ago from Singapore and brought it here and it works fine....unless I've actually been slowly destroying my Ibanez internals without knowing...lol

Singapore domestic power rating has always been 230v 50hz. The mesa head should work fine if it work up to 240v. As long the dual recto is not of those country using 110v-120v, it should work. Even if the power rating is at 110v, a step up transformer should solve the problem of using it here

The ibanez amp would have blown earlier if the power rating is not compatible, so i guess its ok. Uk and singapore should not have much problem, its those US stuff that we should be worried about. 110v product used in 230v country, the outsome would be quite messy :D

ANd some parts of Japan uses a slightly different rating too...so If ya'll buying stuff from Japan check the volting too
