Matching headstock!

Hey softies!

Does the rg1550 prestige actually have a matching headstock for yellow?
Do we actually are able to change the headstock colors by ourselves?

no, the RG1550 sports a black headstock.

however, there were the re-issue RG550s (discontinued) with matching body-headstock finishes. they were categorized under the Prestige offerings.

Are you saying you want to change out the whole neck for one with a matching headstock? Why would you want to do that? Not all necks are made the same so it wouldn't be much of a "plug & play" scenario. You would need to get the guitar re-setup for perfection. If you really want I'm sure you can get aftermarket necks (not original Ibanez) but I discourage it. Probably can get a nice FX with the moolah.

you could always have a refinish job but that is going to be costly.

Wow! Didn't know there is so much to do to get headstock change.
Guess I'm just gonna stick to my original setup.
