hi there, the mg15rcd is, well... erm, ok... the much better version is the mini stack depicted here:

personally, i feel that the closed back cabs made all the diff. this stack sounds more balanced tonally, not too brash sounding, worth the extra asking price IMO.

good luck with your amp hunt 8)

Hi subversion, I got the same Marshall microstack as ya!

Hehe... i love it. Can pretend to be some bigass rawkstar in my bedroom with my 'stack'

You still use it?

Damn nice right, the orange one? I saw it at Guitar Connection yesterday too!

Haha... sweeeet... wah if only i got two of these microstacks... or maybe a whole ****ing wall of little marshall stacks... haha

wonder where he got the orange one from...

Opps sorry i was going off tangent there... well, honestly i can't help you compare with the Roland cos i haven't tried it before. But i can tell you that the marshall microstack is a worthy investment, about 370 i think... u can find it at davis or Luther.

As subversion said, the closed back (and of cos the two cabs) make the microstack version of the Marshall MG15 a much better amp than the MG15CDR... You oughta consider it if it is within your budget.

Hope that helps.

ditto.

if you have to chose between the 2, go with the Roland but don't expect it to be too different from the Marshall mentioned here. i'd rather you save up a little more & acquire the stack version instead...

Hi nice rig,was wondering how much was the whole thing cause (without the guitar) ,thanks

haha 5 years ago wow.
anyway im using the cube 15x.it works pretty good actually.
the effects are great except for Distortion on the amp.
so i guess if ur going for the cube u need to get a dist pedal.

ps:im thinking of getting the marshall stacked also heehee.

I have the Roland Cube 15x and i'd say it is quite a good practice amp. Has 4 amp models and stuff but i guess you already knew that. My friend has the Mg15. Imo, the cube is better for me i guess. The Marshall's distortion sounded abit too thin for me. It's your choice though.
