Yup, if laney indeed marked up their prices then it is reasonable for swee lee to price their amps accordingly. If they sell it to everyone at cheap cheap prices they would definately be in serious financial trouble and *poof* there goes another place to look at, test, buy gear.

just my 2 cents... i wouldn't be surprised if laney marks up their prices. Remember that Made in UK stuff goes up threefold because of the exchange rates.. so a 50pound increase = 150SGD.



on another unrelated matter i would like to apologise for posting stuff which i personally have not tested b4 above in the previous 2 postings. what i meant to say was that for 900SGD you could really get something much better. the stuff i was referring to were just readups from harmonycentral and personally i haven't tried the AVT. sorry for the misleading comments.

LC15R will make a great 'practise' amp. Cathode biased EL84 need no rebiasing for tube changes. I wanted a mate for my Marhsall DSL401 which I got for 800+ half a dacade ago. The price puts me off too. British pound has changed so much.
