It's not easy to pick one..

I would pick a male singer if he could scream like the "old" Matt Shadows or Matt Heafy. When u listen to them, u can almost feel the emotions in the song.

Female, I guess is because they have a wider vocal range. Few guys can hit the high notes WELL, unless u are Axl Rose or someone like that.

Hmm.. whether a crooning female voice is compatible with a screaming dude, I've yet to hear for myself.

i would include a female bandmember who can sing and play an instument like a keyboard..to add some flavour...thats all

I've nuthin against females, but i chose male becos man are naturally just better leaders and more dynamic.... a vocalist needs a big intensity of leadership and drive in the band...
But i think the biggest thing about vocalist isn't about sex, it's more personality and skill...
I would mostly select vocalist if they have=> (in terms of priority!)
1. Great Vocals
2. Passionate about the direction
3. Good Charisma
4. Looks
5. Flexibility
6. Leadership
7. Good physical body (e.g girls with great legs!!)

Male...if the Male is Maynard of coz

both genders dont bother me...but i'll prefer a male...coz a female tends to forget about her roots and keep on evolving...as they say Women grow faster than Men...but there ARE exception...but for me...its definitely on the vox,range and pitch....but if i were an 80s Hairband...i would never take a female....but it would be cool to have one
