Malay Songwriting Competition For Maulidur Rasul.
Contest Rules
1. This competition is open to Singaporeans, PR or official holders of student pass/work permit/employment pass, amateurs as well as professionals.
2. A maximum of 3 persons (regardless of composers or lyricists) is allowed to be named for each song composition.
3. All lyrics are to be written according to at least one of the three theme titles - Life, Love and Women.
4. Lyrics are to be written in Malay and submitted together with entry forms.
5. Demo submissions must be in either MP3 or WAV formats.
6. Contestants without a Demo are required to audition live between 24 &30 March 2008.
7. All songs are not to be more than 5 minutes long.
8. Only one song per theme per participant (or group of participants) is allowed.
9. All submissions (music and lyrics) must be unencumbered and cleared of all rights.
10. Finalists may either sing their own composition or appoint amateur or professional singer/s for recording of minus one tracks.
11. Closing date for submissions without a Demo (live audition required): 23 March 2008.
Closing date for submissions with a Demo: 31 March 2008.
12. All songs will be judged by an expert panel.
13. Judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entertained
