I mainly into oldies pop/rock (big fan of Lennon, Queen, Dire straits)
I dont really wish to get into band or something, I would like to play the song entirely by myself, i hoping to write some music as well. Im not looking for special effect sound, only looking for piano sound. I guess I just need a piano instead of a keyboard right?

Tight budget at the moment but is there any recommendation for beginners? I am hoping to get a decent one at about 500. I do know weighted keys, dynamic is abit hard to get, but is weight keys, good dynamic, velocity range, 88 keys important to a beginner? If let say im a average learner, who practise 3 hours a day, how long will a keyboard with semi weight keys, poor dynamic and velocity gotta last me? Is 88 keys that important? I am currently looking at m audio keystation 88es. I also search at this forum and i also know that there are some quality issues in some of the batches, but it seem pretty catchy for the price 500++ for a full 88 key weight action controller? I do have some experince in recording and stuff, and i had already prepared kontakt and some freewares just if i decided to get the keystation.

i think i had decided already, i am going the midi route? I think i will extend my budget abit, dont really wish to upgrade within a year or something. I think i might be getting the cme uf80. Anyone have any idea where could i try out cme products? wanna try to see if the hammer action is nice or not first
