Low fret life

I believe they call it low fret life? Where my 4th bar is higher than the 3rd one by alittle,so when i pluck on one of my strings with my finger on the 3rd fret, there's this rattling metal sound..Yea,i'm having such problems and i'm thinking of sending it to Swee Lee as i still hav my warranty. But my guitar bro(he's way2 pro) told me that the only solution is to increase my fixed bridge to a higher level so that it would be at higher action, and case close.

Or the expensive way, refretting.Of course i wont do refretting. But i wanna noe if i ever did send it to swee lee, would they simply increase the height of my bridge or refret under my warranty, would they bother to do that?

I dont hav much bad experience with swee lee,nor good.and if i were to call them, they'll just say "The technician is on vacation/not in office, just bring your guitars to us,and it wont be a quick repairment cause we hav lots of guitars in line for the technician."

Sometimes i think they just dont bother to repair and wanna turn people down on the phone.

Anyway, will they help me refret if i were to ask them to?

Thanks,
Haz

you can try bringing your guitar to geetar tech(search around the forum for some recommendation) have them check through the geetar and see whether a set up of the guitar can solve the problem, if not check if fret dressing can help in eliminating that uneven fret problem. Adjusting the bridge would mean a change in the action across the whole length of the fretboard, affecting overall rather then solving the problem over that one uneven fretwire

You dont have to replace the fret wire if fret dressing can sort out the problem.

Low fret life usually means the fretwire been sorta grinded and a groove cut out over years of playing/fretting
