Hello..ermm...i want some help here....I own a ESP LTD B155 bass...It is a 5-strings bass guitar....However,my bass comes wit a very thick strings...And now,i want some recommendation to where and which is the best strings i can use....hahah....I'm looking for a VERY LIGHT/THINNEST/SOFT 5 strings gauge set...Which brand and how much and where cud i get them???It really hard to press on the fretboard...if can,do tell me the gauge size...Thank you....I use Ken Smith but, they kinda hard too....Plz help me!!!!!!

You asked for the lightest bass string, those are the lightest strings gauge, you have to find out which shops sells them , I am using D'Addario EXL 4 strings 45- 105, I only has a 4 string bass.

cheers

dude ... if your bass is hard to press go get your action setup ... singapore quite hard to find soft-gauge strings ... get your saddle height lowered and your truss rod adjusted so your neck is straight.

if you insist on looking for soft string gauges then try sinamex that sells ernie ball strings or swee lee ... try to look for the .40 string gauges or davis ... i think they have rotosounds for .40 ...

I've sarch in the Warwick webbie and found out that they sell lightest gauge for 5 strings set...Its model is Black Label Strings and its size gauge is
.020''.040''.060''.080''.100''.....Do guyz came across this b4??I know there is Red label under Warwick..Do u guyz noe where to get the B.L Strings???Citymusic got???Davis???Sweelee???lol....Confused

35 is already too light for a bass guitar, it does not sound like a bass guitar any more, it just does not have that bass punch. Mind telling us what is the problem you are facing now, lots of groove maker here is sure to help you.

cheers

my 5th strings is like .138,.140

Very thick...

Wow...ur B string is so thick? Where did u get that gauge from? What brand? I'm also looking for a thick B, which can fit a 35" scale bass guitar.

BTW u can get the Ernie balls 125 - 40 from music theme. I have that set on my RBX775 now.

I think the Warwick 100 - 20 is meant for a E-A-D-G-C 'tenor' bass tuning

I have tried lowering the action..but still the same...the 5th strings is still hard to press on the fretboard...my Pedulla Rapture Bass is more softer than my ESP LTD Bass...Even i used multi effect pedal..the sound is still like very 'tightening' although i have lowered the action...the strings so thick and hard..got gig this coming march and i dun really one to use my Pedulla Rapture bass...I wanted to try on my ESP LTD Bass...

For ur info Bass74,the string is from the factory..haha..thats y...Mine is ESP LTD B155(5-strings bass)...

Ic, ok. didn't know that ESP ships with such thick strings. Oh well, I'll still look ard for a thick B, with lighter strings for the rest. Since u tried lowering the action and it doesn't work, why not try a lighter gauge of strings?

I have tried...still same...I think the strings suck...But the bass very3 powerful..the tone...really kickin' ass...Really

U mean u tried changing to a lighter gauge already? It shld make a differance. But the lighter gauge B will be flabbier than before.

i mean i have tune all strings to a low note, truss road had been chcked and revised..still the same

tune all strings to a lower note? U mean u tune down to A or Ab or lower? Think u can try a smaller string gauge, like the 125 to 40s. Gd luck!
