Looking for a travel amp

Hey everyone, zekre here.

I'm currently looking for a decent, battery-operated, portable travel amp. I'm currently playing on my Mexican Fender Strat.

Any recommendations?

i am using a roland micro cube. but dont tink its much of a travel. however portable. its battery operated and can be run on adapter too. its decent with the efx and volume

What kind of tone are you looking for, and your budget? Although to be honest, tonewise most travel amps sound the same-tinny due to the small speaker. No fault of theirs. I'd recommend the Vox DA5 from Citymusic, its a all-in-one package with a good range of effects that you can use. If you're using PocketPod, its pretty compatible too.

do you need it for headphone applications or is there a need to be amplified?

haha vox amplugs,ms-2,irig,vox da series or sound drive stuff from sv they have portable ones, but if it's for travelling i would recommend amplugs

My favourite is still the amplug with a headphone although most of these mini amps can be used with headphones as well.

I also have a Roland Micro Cube which I'd say is a fine little practice amp with some great sound at low volume, however, I don't carry that around on airplanes. Headphones/amplug suits me.

He he he.....well I guess as long as the 'smell' does no travel on-line , its fine.

in terms of clarity & a longer lasting power, the amplug + cab = recommended.

Wow.. a bit late of me to say this, but thanks to all who replied.

I'm actually looking for a portable amp to bring in to camp to jam with friends.

All the amps look pretty good, will check them out.
