Looking for a stratocastor, need recommendation..

hi guys i am new here.. i need recommendation for a good stratocastor
but i am still a beginner, currently practising on a cheapo 100+ stratocastor which i borrow from friend...

so far i only have been reading tru swee lee online catalog which seems limited... any good website or catelog for sharing?

intend to fork out 500 for a new guitar? any good recommendation? wat things to look out for?
preferable hope can find a full black stratocaster... which i hardly can find any as well... please advise

save abit more and go to davis to get the fender japan guitars.

Try Timbre strat or a squier standard strat. If you go 2nd hand, you can save even more.

I say save a little bit more and get a CIJ Fender Stratocaster, I just got mine and it's wonderful! The only problem is that there's too much of a hissing sound because of the single coil pick ups, but that can easily be fixed by getting it shielded/grounded. Another alternative is to get a 2nd hand Fender Strat, I saw a couple of those in the Guitar buy/sell section, I think one's going for 650 and there's another one thats going for 700. Check it, look around Davis, Guitar 77, Swee Lee, and Blackwood.

On another note, I saw this sweet looking telecaster at blackwood, it was going for only 835, if you dont mind a telecaster, I say get this one. Its practically a steal!
