Hey can anyone help me on deciding a good distortion pedal? My budget is currently around 100bucks and I like genres such as blues and classic rock. Wanted to go for the MI Audio Crunchbox pedal but that was quite out of my budget so yea. Thanks!

You can get anything from Danelectro. They sell pretty decent sounding stuff for pedals below $100.

You can find them at davis or at TYMc

i have a mint boss md-2 for sale
from classic rock to metal this baby can nail the sounds.
comes with box and manual.pm me if ur interested ;]

if u'd like a more generic sounding distortion (blues to classic rock kinda sound) for around 100 bucks, i think u can try getting a modded boss ds-1 from mike @ standardvalue or from beez @ lookforbeez.

danelectro is also a good choice for cheap but great sounding pedals if u don't mind the plastic housing they're in.

i don't think all danelectro pedals are plastic cause my coolcat drive happens to be housed in a metal casing (true bypass to boot!)

to ts: I think for what you're looking for, the coolcat distortion might be a good choice. just my 2 cents worth though

I'd recommend the Beta Aivin HM-200 available at Standard Value. It can take you from blues to metal, very versatile. $85. Using one myself.

Modtone Speedbox, from Standard Value. A brand new one would be $75. I like the fact that it is versatile, gives me quite a lot of tone options that goes from crunchy, to metal, to high gain distortion by Oasis

sweelee is the main distributor. but i find that their prices are way overpriced. either u go with someone who has connections with the staff in there to get discounts, or u wait for their sales. but they had one recently at the warehouse.

Agreed, some of their stuff is wayyyy overpriced. Look around in the guitar efx buy/sell, there'll be fantastic hidden deals... Davis and SV both house the Beta Aivin, i think.

I dont think its a good idea to promote that pedal you'r selling in a thread like this...anyways I had the MD2 before. I dont think its exactly suitable for what the TS is looking for, due to the MD2 having an extreme amount of gain on tap.

I would recommed the Danelectro coolcat distortion instead. Its a rumoured bb preamp/crunchbox clone, and it should nail those classic blues rock sounds fair easily, with true bypass and a sub par 40 bucks to boot.
