Looking for 2 tier keyboard stands

hi I am looking for 2 tier keyboard stands...1st tier must be able to support a 88 key weighted one (ard 19kg) and 2nd tier for lightweight synthesizers or sound modules...
anywhere in singapore i can buy with such specs? Sweelee or City music? Using for both perf and home...

Any wan frm SOFT gt such stands to sell? i dun mind getting 2nd hand stuff...just pm me
Also looking for a keyboard amp...any sellers?

PS: Hope i get replies in this thread cos i think such threads had already been discussed before!! Lol...so yah wld appreciate if i can get some info here...

One of the most stable 2-tier ones are the Ultimate Apex stands. Swee Lee sells them.

mu6, Apex stand is good so long as it serves your practical needs. When I had one for home use years ago, I found the vertical support bar at its base awkward when I had to place my kybds for playing at a seated position. Consider 2-tier double braced x stands or the roland ks-g8 stand which can accomodate a 2nd tier.

There are more than 1 factor when considering getting stands.

1. Stability
2. Portability
3. Ergonomics/ design
4. Price

It's a balance between all of them.

While the strength of the Ultimate Apex is in the stability and portability (legs and arms all fit into the body), ergnomics is the usual complain (T-shaped legs a problem for pedal placement).

KS-G8 is also pretty stable but not exactly portable. Price is also a problem - more than 100USD more than the Apex. That do not include the extra 2nd tier attachments which are another about 100USD. So you'll be paying 200USD extra.

One stand may stand out in one area than another. In the end, it's still a balance. I've 2 Apex stands. I really dislike the legs, but I've managed to get used to it over the years and it doesn't disturb me as much as when I first got it. When you play in gigs enough (and in situation when you don't have control over the type of keyboard/type of pedal or stand to use), you learn to adapt to every situation. Sometimes it doesn't matter what type of stand if you get to use one of those cheap plaster pedal/foot swtiches - they will have a tendency to walk around.

There are also some of the expensive ones that is portable/ergonomic/stable like the K&M Spider, which you'll also have to pay for shipping since you can't get it in Singapore.

Seriously....somebody should design a stand with a catch for the pedal. Even those so call "piano type" pedal for the keyboard runs around. Especially on carpet. Like playing hide and seek. Arrrggghhhh.... and I dunno how to get the pedal back in a "pretty" manner with so many ppl looking.

Ever tried modifying your pedal to look like the Roland DP6? Years ago, to resolve my friend's frustration for the same problem you have, I jokingly suggested to him to tape his pedal to a ruler that was available at that moment and he has been using it until he got the money for a DP6 a year later. It didn't look as nice then, perhaps you could do a nicer modification

Would that work on smooth carpet surface? The Roland dp 6 is the one with the rubber stuff at the bottom and looks heavy right? The korg pedal I'm using now is a heavy one as well. But still runs.

Alamak, did i quote the wrong model? It's dp10 he bought later...the pedal with the long base for support.

Ohhh...that one. Also have, fitted to a roland synth. But then I'm using korg. Dunno compatible or not.
