talking about getting cds. i was wondering.

where do we get albums of local bands. those of the underground and unheard.

i remember someone telling me before but id like to noe from here.

Well.. i've been to two and i must say they are the best! But i found them out through AgingYouth (thank you!) on these boards when i was looking for a cd myself. The first is...

Roxy Records at Excelsior Hotel (Beside Peninsula Shopping Center which is beside Funan Center!) - Its on the 2nd floor i think. Quite an ulu place... but i think its really a niche music shop! Sells records (and i mean those played on a parlophone!) and lots of local music. The owner even recommends based on your taste.

There's this cafe at The Arts House called... 1982? or something- Its at the Former Parliament House beside the Padang. Lots of stuff there. You can even listen before buying... or have a chill meal or drink there! Quiet and excellent ambience.

if you are into hardcore or punk thrash grindcore wdever, you can try at ignite store. then there is the rock, experimental, instrumental acts where you can find it at straits records...both shop is at haji lane...near to arab street...and after shoppin u can go to a shisha cafe and smoke some shisha
