So my band Quick Quick Danger has a song 'Love Electric' currently receiving major airplay on 91.3FM and has a chance to break into the Hot 30 charts and it turns out the chart system works off listener votes...
If you take a look at the voting site (www.radio913.com/songs) the situation is this; the major label artists VERSUS us, just 4 guys who wrote, recorded and produced the songs in our homes. It's only fair we even the odds with a small army behind us and that's where YOU come in!
From what I was told last week while we were at the 91.3FM studios for an interview, there have not been much or even any local bands receiving high rotation airplay on 91.3FM for awhile already and it seems they've sort of taken a chance on us. We really believe this is a step in the right direction for local music, so hopefully hearing local bands on radio won't be a phenomena anymore.
