Living Through Circuitry, a 12 hour non stop music event held at HomeClub on 3 stages on the 25th August 2007. Living Through Circuitry was initiated with the growing interest of using electronics in music production. With advancement in technology and it getting more accessible, there is a growing culture of electronic musicians doing music with the aid of electronics or solely based on electronic equipments.
Living Through Circuitry aims to educate and expose individuals of the art of electronic music and production, as well as to establish a common interest within electronic music, artists and those interested in the culture. The event will cover a wide range of electronic music like computer music, experimental electronic music, turntablism, 8bit music, effects and much more. An intimate, social, yet learning affair both for those in the know and familiar with the craft, as well as enthusiasts alike.
In support of the event, Republic Polytechnic is proud to host a series of short courses to be delivered by Stanford University's Center for Computer music in Music & Acoustics (CCRMA). Delivered by top educators and researchers from the field of music, engineering, and computer science, these workshops are one/two weeks in duration and make their debut here in South East Asia in August 2007.
This event will be a mixed and mashed. While we yearn and thirst for education and knowledge, there is also a natural yearning for subtle-body-rocking moments. This is what Living Through Circuitry is all about – a weekend of electronic-exploration. A feast of senses for all.
