Line6 Toneport

wheee edder if ur going let me know. il bring my sahasrara od for ur signature :D then il sell it on ebay for $500!!! WOOT.

i've already signed inside the PCB board lah. anyway for it to worth some money someone damn famous must use it first and then i must commit suicide for some dodgy reason and then you can use that newspaper clipping and auction it together with the pedal.

I have the toneport. So far, it has served me well for getting all the different tones that i don't normally play. The interface is very easy to deal with IMO.

The possibilities with the gearbox program that came with it was kick@$$. And eversince I bought the pod xt live, more possibilities open up as I can bring with me the tones that i tinkered up after a few cans of beer or a few shots of rum...

But....(there is always a but)

I'd say, its the gearbox program that is more useful than the toneport hardware itself.

meh

Dear Softies,

As the number of interested parties for the clinic are not much, we can have the clinic at anytime on saturday, but say we put it at 4pm? Perhaps Midnight, edder, ZiiopBoii and who ever is interested can meet up together before we start the clinic.

Cheers!

Hmm. I might drop by.

Can anyone comment whether an additional 80/120 is worth it for a UX1/UX2? I'm just looking to record guitar, maybe bass and vocals. Only interested in low latency and good reproduction of signal.

ended up i was the only one there... SOFTies ahhh.... all NATO one...

Good ol Mike "Are you Japanese?" Mayuni gave me a good and lengthy presentation of what could be done and also the pro/cons of using the PODXt eg more amp modelling already available on the XT but no bass/micpre modelling. I ended up buying the UX1 for the Mic input at $165. Double the price of the intended GX but I can recoup that by having one less drinking session.

Thanks City Music for the proactive approach towards customer care even during sales. A lot of shops here can learn a thing or two from you guys.

wah nato? i ended up there a bit later, although mi bassist pang seh...

mike was demonstrating the kb37, and the gearbox software, veri similar interface as the line6 monkey, too bad i gettin mi mixer so won't be needing the toneport...=( so sad

anw will be picking up the gx1 for mi bassist sometime this week, and prob gonna try to convince mi dad to get a variax for me

Hey guys,

Thanks to all who came down for this little informal clinic. We hope it was informative enough and beneficial to all your recording needs! Perhaps we can have another clinic covering other products next week.

Cheers!
P.S. The Line6 PODX3 / PODX3Live will be arriving next week!

thor666, I got lazy while waiting for the rain to slow down but the need to spend $$$ got over the laziness.

Think the UX1 can cover a lot of grounds for your needs. Guitar/Bass/Mic. GX a bit limited in terms of micing and I'd presume that the mic preamp models are disabled with the GX.
