Line 6 Problem!

Hi im currently using a Line 6 Pod Studio UX2 and an Audio Technica AT 2020.
I realised my videos usually have a problem.
That's the sound produced in the beginning, very sharp and high frequency.
I'm using an audio cable from the UX2's output to my laptop's mic port.

Is there any solution to remove/lower down the frequency sound produced in the beginning?

Here is a clip of it : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YTEhmErAJhU

Let me guess what you did -You turned off your PC and left the XLR cable hooked up in the UX2 interface, then turn on the PC again when you wanted to record. Then the high pitch sound comes on.

If that's the case, all you need do is unplug the XLR then plug it in again after turning on the PC.

Normally, I would detach the XLR after every session, it's just a habit to keep the room tidy.

Cheers.

Hi there,

Are you using any external speakers or headphones for your UX2 setup?

From your description, you are actually utilising 2 sound cards at the same time:
1) UX2
2) computer onboard soundcard (mic input)

Do take note that the UX2 itself is a high performance audio card meant to handle raw audio eg. instruments and vocal. Therefore, there is no need to plug the output of the UX2 into the mic input of your computer sound card. By running 2 sound cards at the same time will compromise the audio quality due to sharing of computer resources.

You can connect the UX2 directly to external active speakers or headphones instead. In other words, your UX2 can replace your onboard sound card which you will realise better audio quality on the whole.

Hope this information is useful.

Cheers!

But if i detach the audio wire from my computer 's mic point to ux2's output.
It will still have the frequency sound.
I tested it using Audacity, with UX2 as input.
