plz dun tell me to buy all 3 efx tat will be crazy for me

i would go for line6

havn heard the digitech b4, n havn heard of a lot of ppl using digitech multi efx

i heard a small zoom multi efx before, it could do a lot of techno-ey stuff but hte volume drop and alteration to tone was unbearable, sounded like ur playing ur guitar to a satellite and back to an amp... dunno how to explain

ive heard the modulation stuff on line6 amps, quite cool stuff and doesnt sound so fake either

also heard an uber metal b4, quite neat stuff for a digital distortion

anyway the podxt live is like the no.1 selling guitar effect on musicianfriend or sth, so if ur going the multi efx way, then i think u shd go for line 6

should a product be less popular, it doesn't equal dud quality/ tone.

if you are still interested in the ZOOM products, of late, the manufacturer did the right thing by refining their tone; the G-series multi FX (7.1 & above) feature a pre-amp tube for a more pleasant drive voicing. having tried the G7.1ut, there are very pleasant tones on board.

as for the Floor POD, i still think it's better off with a midrange control...

hmmmm zoom g series....

got it. thx bro

hmmm actually the reason i'm interested in digitech cos 1 of my
fav band using digitech.

heard of trivium? their new album they use digitech
if forgot wat model they use though T_T

but nvm thx for all ur opinions

anymore suggestion guys?

I have the Digitech GNX3000. It should have a more accurate sound sampling compared to the podxtl, boss gt8 and other multiefx within that price range based on the research I've done on the net. Alot of heavy reading and technical jargon if you're interested.

However the next generation multiefx ie. those with tubes do really make a difference. Kinda like how a hybrid tube amp compares with solid state and full tube. At this point of time I think would either look at the new series of Zoom as per subversion or otherwise the Vox Tonelab LE, which is an update to the older Tonelab SE.

As an afterthought, after owning a multiefx you should have a better sense of direction to the types of tone you prefer, maybe it's time moving on to pedals if that's your thing?

actually i also tot b4 between analog and digital sound

of cours analog will always be better.

jus tat too much pedal to choose from.....

rite now wat i really need most is actually a distortion pedal or od pedal
i was thinking abount jnh but i look up on 1 of the forums say something abt jnh suddenly haywire :(

but the reason i'm aiming jnh cos dere is a boost in hyde mode....
my fren say sounds like a TS9. not sure yet cos haven really tried it out

and i need a echo pedal... not really sure which 1 to aim for

oh ya btw i got a marhsall jackhammer. sounds really good but i still think jnh is better.

argh!! pedals makes me sick! WAAHAHAHHAAHA

I dont like the distortion part of the VS red jnh. It's harsh and brightish even with the blunt switch on. The jekyll sound is nice though, and it is based on the TS9.

Must as well go for the route 66 which has the jekyll overdrive side and a compressor side.

hmmmm

but then i still prefer to have a multifx pedal... cheaper

unlike analog pedals. need to buy seperately. u buy the wah, distortion, eq, phaser, echo, delay all... sum up can cos more then 1.5k....

unlike those multifx pedal. 500 to 700 can get all the fx u wan....

hehe

there are some of us, after owning a multi-fx unit, prefer selected effects rather than employing everything in the mix. this is the reason why we choose to invest in a certain unit specializing in that effect type.

thanks subversion!

yes, it is in stock.

that unit is a used one, used for 1-2 weeks, by none other than djthugs, i'll let it go for $345, best price.

thanks!

We discussed about this over and over again here but there are always new products, so here we go again. Never test drive G7 before but ToneLab LE is really cool.
You cannot have right justification for any multi FX in just a few hours test drive at shops. You have to spend for weeks to scratch the surface. MultiFX are useful if you want to experiments the effects before you know what you are looking. Some provide recording features. So it depends on what you want. Personally, I would get both:)
