I've been using the pedal train junior for about a year I can't stand the weight of it.
I don't really care if my pedals are well protected, I'M NOT. I always feel like i'm going to fall off the stairs or something along with my guitar.
Some recommendations please :)

Use more than one Ikea board if you want protection. You can actuallyline the bag with these boards. I use one, my pedals on top, velcro-ed down, put the thing inside one of those bags and i'm done. I won't waste money on a pedalboard, but that's just me. If a 10 dollar wooden board and a underused bag i found can do the job, why spend on a 200 dollar board you don't feel safe with?

I actually use an old laptop bag for bringing a few pedals around. It's got decent padding and the zip opens up almost all around the bag so I can flip the cover over and access the pedals. If I were going to use it long term I would probably velcro it up and put a bit of sponge or foam at the bottom of the bag as well.

I also have the same problem as you. and after all the research i've done for pedal board I found out there is not escape u have to carry heavy stuff about 7-10kg at least. That explains why john petrucci , michael angelo batio all have so big muscle. There's no escape u have ot carry

Hi there friend!!

hahah i have recently started making pedalboards out of aluminium composite pedals and i think they may well be your best solution

I use an electro-harmonix pedal bag which is very light n well padded but flimsy so i went to make an aluminium board to attach to the floor of the ehx pedal bag. The 26"X10" pedal space of the EHx bag is almost as abundant as that of a pedaltrain 2 i find and the weight is probably lighter than a pedaltrain junior.

Check Out my flash site

or u can just PM me for more details

I think apart from using a pedalbag maybe some ways to solve your problem now is to bring around pedals u only nid, you could also get a well padded bag strap to ease the load off your shoulders abit. Do consider my product though :D
