hello, I'm damon, artist name 'myqo' and I am looking for folks to form a band. I have a day time job, been working for a number of years, and work on music during free time. I have been writing songs for a while, and my most recent songs are written under the 'myqo' moniker, and you can hear them from Spotify:

I used to do almost everything on my own, but since 2 years ago, I began to collaborate a lot more for the songs under 'myqo'.
The objectives of the band are to i) write and record songs together, *and* 2) to perform these originals + great covers together. Both these objectives are important to me. That said, for each song, I think each person's contribution can vary. there may be a song a bandmate has minimal inputs to the writing, but is happy to play it live. The goal is so that we can share the music to a wider audience.
My musical influences for the longest time are The Smiths, Radiohead, Arctic Monkeys, Interpol, The Beatles, The Cure, Oasis, Blur, Pulp, Slowdive, Humpback Oak, and then more recently, Beach House, The Marias, Alvvays, Human Tetris, Moaning ...
I am looking for a bassist, guitarist(s) and a keyboardist. As long as you are not a total beginner (just picked up the instrument for a few months), i think we can discuss. Depending on who is in the band, I can probably play the bass, or the guitar, or the vocals.
Commitment wise, i think we can expect to write songs together as and when, and practice playing together, at most once a week - during busier weeks we can skip. It is important to practice together regularly, but it should be something sustainable for the band members.
