the moment u penetrate, u can't turn ard and tell her that it meant nothing and u wanna silent break wat.

actually i already forgot about this matter...hehe....

Anyway I have a pretty good relationship with shop since more than 10 years ago already....they are a family-run business.....kind of disappointed with their service....

I tell you..no matter how firm a policy may be...we all all still human..we can always bend the rules...

I have worked in music companies all my life...and it all depends on how much I want to do for the customer.....it is just a choice...whether to make money solely or to meet customer's need.....

Agreed

Buyer bought cuz he thought it was a good deal. Went back, played with it, sounded off. Decides on alternative - idea refused. Uses the word 'inflexiblity' towards the shop. I think the buyer should just "LIVE WITH the decisions he makes in his life".

I'd have to say I agree with Beefy on this. As a buyer you should have considered all your options. Unfortunately, I'm guessing that you thought you wanted to save on $ but made a wrong choice in a moment of impulse/(greed too perhaps?). I'd say you can't blame the owner because you did not ask about the exchange policy. Hence, I don't see where the shopkeeper did wrong.

What's more you are trying to flame the shop in this thread. Not very nice, in my opinion. If I were you, I'd blame myself over other things. Much less to start a thread here to defame.

It's quite disturbing to have people pushing the blame on others when its your own fault.

maybe sometime we have to put ourself in those owner's shoe. maybe he did allowed exchange in the past but people misuse the goodwill rendered by him? well, ofcause a buyer would love to change something if they think it's not worth the money or it not the the stuff. but for seller, ofcause they would want it cause it's deem as 2nd hand once someone purchase.
try buying a car then go back to the dealer telling him you want to change and top up to a better car. :)

It's life we have to face. :)

Actually I don't blame them but rather pity them..LOL for not knowing how to be do business....anyway..I did not mention the shop's name...and amazing some people here already know which shop is that....and my huge circle of music friends are aware of this shop's bad reputation for the past 20 over years.....just that I am not aware...only being bitten then realised...of course I agreed that I got myself to be blamed for trying to save some money....but in the end..hehehe...anyway it is only $30.00....A smart businessman will not want his reputation to be ruined by $30.00......YOU can't compared that to a car...if is a car...obviously it will be a different story...

if i had a drumset i'd buy that cymbal from you. old and 'off' cymbal sounds gd to me!!!! can get Striborg sound.........
