les paul knobs

hey .. i got a gibson/epiphone les paul, there are 4 knobs and i'm not sure what exectly whe functions of each knob..

Bridge tone
Neck tone
Bridge volume
Neck volume

For the humbuckers 8)

Okie i hope you know pick-ups are in the first place...

Your les paul naturally has 2 pick-ups, and the each pick-up is controlled by a volume and a tone knob. so if your math hasnt failed you, that totals to 4.

i can only tell the difference between the bottom two knobs..

I'll say since you're relavtively new, just leave everything on the maximum first lah. hehe,

Ya, I don't usually touch my knobs either, just sometimes roll off the volume to get a bluesy mild overdrive sound when my distortion is on and I'm too lazy to turn it off

i usually turn down the treble vol to get a bassier tone.. heh.
anyway why do i hardly see metal bands using les pauls? which band guitarist uses les paul
