Lennon vs. McCartney

it's proven that McCartney is better with
melody in ballads such as LET IT BE, HEY JUDE, YESTERDAY

but LENNON has his share of good rocker
melody NO REPLY, ANYTIME AT ALL, REVOLUTION,
DON'T LET ME DOWN and of course his weird ideas
I AM THE WALRUS, HEY BULLDOG

However, last album DOUBLE FANTASY has a
handful of solid good songs
JUST LIKE STARTING OVER, WOMAN,
WATCHING THE WHEELS.

this is John Lennon and the tape loops...
from label Zapple

Lennon is better, not that weird songs are no good, but i think Boomdoom is weirder than john's songs. Afterall which millionaire, would be so concerned with Peace and sufferings of people in Vietnam and come up with a straightforward Imagine song?
Personally,"Nowhere man" and "How do you sleep?" are my favourites.

An artistical musician trying to explore the realms of another reality is encouragable. A Boomdoom talking rubbish and pasting nude articles? well..how to spell Bananarama again? hahaha!

oh? this Beatles thread turns to a album cover display?

John Lennon is considered an artistic songwriter
comparable to Bob Dylan.

Paul McCartney writes for the radio.

yeah,newbie100.

Can somebody bar this boomdoom from posting "covers which displays breasts and private parts" in a soft music discussion website?

and it is not even related to the topic at all!

please la..people want to discuss lennon/mccartney contributions on music.

this thread looks interesting.

I think the nude covers started
with John & Yoko 'Two Virgins'
then followed by the other covers.

I agree with that Lennon is an artistic
songwriter and McCartney is a smash
hits writer.

Hmm.

That Electric ladyland album is by Jimi Hendrix. And he didn't even approve of that album cover/sleeve in the first place, if you have done your research thoroughly.

Lennon/McCartney Please.

I still feel they're one of the best song-writing combinations ever, so I'll not have any preference.

mcCartney writes silly love songs but married a prostitute?

after 4 years, the whore gets 50-200 million pounds?

wat?
meaning Sir Paul paid 12.5-50 million pounds a year
for banging a high class prostitute,
not too bad a daughter given
