LATITUDE ONE will be hitting the stage at the Prince of Wales in Little India once again this Saturday, 9 December. This is the band's last public performance of 2006... so don't miss it!

WHAT: LATITUDE ONE Live ver 4.0!
WHEN: Saturday, 9 December, from 9:30pm
WHERE: The Prince of Wales, 101 Dunlop Street
ADMISSION: Free! No cover charge, and no tickets to be sold :)

Who are these guys? Aging ex-rockers who prefer to play Coldplay and My Chemical Romance rather than the same old cover band sh*t, but we play a lot of the same old cover band sh*t to keep the punters happy! More on the boys can be found at www.latitudeoneband.com.

Yes, bad day to have a gig... but we usually bring our own crowd. And at the Prince of Wales, 20 people is a crowd!

hah can we get yr crowd to our gigs then? heh heh...

Just got back, and my head is still spinning from the excitement such a small place generates. Full report later today! Very good crowd tonight!

Just wrote the NEWS update on the bands webbie (www.latitudeoneband.com);

"What a night! Once again we had a blast playing at the Prince of Wales pub in Little India, our fourth performance there this year. There were one or two of those magic moments when the crowd was singing louder than the PA... was it the Coldplay or the Oasis songs? Great place, and great people! Thanks to all who came out to party with us last night! IN PARTICULAR we'd like to thank the blonde who managed to single-handedly distract the band from its usually flawless performance and tight musicianship. It was red knickers, for those of you who didn't notice."

For LATITUDE ONE it was a great gig to end the year. We are all off doing family sh*t from now until early January, and look forward to 2007. As a cover band we are at that precious border between what is "commercially" viable (ala Hotel California) and what we like to rock out on (ala Clocks). It was great to have people singing along to "Wonderwall" and "In My Place" last night. Next fun one is MCR's "Welcome to the Black Parade." I'd rather play that to 20 people who dig it than 200 who prefer "Brown Eyed Girl."

G*d forbid we start doing original sh*t... but there are two or three local indie bands I've seen this year that I would be honored to share a stage with in 2007.

Let's see what I can work out with the various DGOs next year. :)

Happy Hols, all. Live Long and Prosper.
