A producer, voice-over artist, songwriter and radio DJ, Mathilda has been a performer since childhood. Rocking out as a drummer at first, she discovered, serendipitously, that she could sing. That revelation led to many more vocal performances and the Singapore Idol competition, in which she landed a finalist spot.
Returning to her first love, Mathilda D’Silva celebrates this late night with a selection of R&B tunes, from Blind Willie Johnson’s Dark was the Night, Cold was the Ground, to the music of ever-soulful Erykah Badu, and electric Chaka Khan. And, inspired and emboldened by this opportunity, she will also premiere original songs Cup Of Tea, New York City and Repercussions.
