next up ..the Custom lacewood Larrivee L-09..
something to note about larrivee..i find the tone of them subdued when they are new..it sounds choke..this could be attributed to their stiff bracing pattern..
However I always tell Larrivee owners to hang on there..coz once the top opens up..they sound very very good...the tone is alive and the bass response just blossoms..
the other thing about Larrivee i like is this..they probably have the best quality of Sitka out in this guitar industry...tight grain ones that are even in colour as well as lots of silking on their high end models. They have also the most pretty Indian Rosewood in the market...if you happen to see their high end stuff you will identify with what I'm saying here..
on a personal note i think Larrivee's are one of the most under rated guitars in this industry..I feel they can sell more guitars and it would be more accepted guitars if they market it better. You get more guitar in terms of wood quality, bindings and so on so forth compared to the other big boys ..T, M and G guitar company. Well that's just a thought.
we start off with a guitar review of how it sounds..

it comes with a sitka spruce top with rosewood binding and lacewood back and sides..
just look at the top purfling lines..with the rosewood bindings.
