Laney vs Marshall

Yo ppl...I really need your help. Should I get the Laney LX 20 or the Marshall MG 15? Can you tell me the pros and cons for each amp and if I play J-Rock but have my own pedal, which one shall I get? You are welcome to recommend other amp as long as it doesn't exceeds 200 bucks. THNX!!

I don't think there's any pros and cons for the build, I guess the diff only lies in the sound

if your budget is around $200, i would highly recommend a vox vt20+. it's going for $221 at city music, slightly above your stated budget, but it's one of the most versatile amps that don't sound crappy at this price range.

If you've your own pedal, then the Pathfinder is probably your best bet, it takes pedals well and produces very nice sparkly cleans for a 15W. The only con is the lack of a midrange knob, but that can be solved by getting a decent EQ pedal.

Cool...thnx guys! I went to try the laney, the marshall and the VOX yesterday, and I must agree, VOX is just the right and best choice. Though the dist is really bad, but what are pedals for? Its clean is the best out of the three and can even be adjusted to produce acoustic guitar-liked sounds and tones. Just love it. With the Cool Cat Metal II, getting the dist/metal tone i need just isn't any prob. Thnx for all the help on this and the other thread.
