Korg Triton Midi Hung

Hi, my triton's midi function appears to have hung and is somehow stuck in a constant changing through all the instruments.

in SEQ, track one is constantly switching thro all the instrments and same goes under SONG PLAY. Under GLOBAL settings, I cannot do anything either as the system appears to b stuck.

i've already set to factory settings by holding ENTER+0 while starting up, however the midi is still hung.

Can anyone help out here or lead me to a site that can help?

What is your triton connected to via midi? Do you mean that the tracks are changing on their own without hooking up to any other hardware or softwares via midi? Or is it connected to something via midi?

Sounds like you'll need to send it for repairs. Could be one button's contact didn't get released and so that button keeps triggering. Or you could try to press HARD on all buttons, hopefully the contact will release on its own.

If that doesn't work - and you already excluded Sonicbrat's possibility (ie external midi trigger malfunctioning), then it's going to the repair shop.

hi guys thanks for responding. well i brought it down to city music and Mike figured out the prob in 5min! it was just dirt getting into the value adjustment slider that screwed up the information that was confusing the midi. so just a bit of cleaning that part and working the slider abit got the keyboard working as new. twas sending me into panic attacks but thank god it's nothing major.

funny how dust can create such a havoc
