korg pa80 or other keyboard?

hi guys... im a guitarist and im a newbie in all this keyboard stuff.. im lookin to buy a keyboard to go into it... i got a gd deal of the korg pa80.. what do u guys think of this?? or any users ?? or any recommendations of a keyboard? i wan gd sounds as i wanna use for recordin too..

hmm.. seriously im no pro in this aspect.. all i have is a piano haha.. but what i can advise you is.. don't get something too complicated at the start.. especially if u don know how to play the keyboard yet.. there are many types of keyboard, especially the weight of the keys.. one advise : choose the keyboard that u feel the most comfortable with ..

err... i wanna juz use it for recordin... and playin.. i wanna learn playin it... i wanna use it for recordin purposes... i wun play gigs wif it.. cuz guitar is my main instrument and ill use the keyboards for recording and messin around...

PA80 is an arranger keyboard - means it is useful for those who wants to be a one-man band on the fly. It gives you different styles and rhythm backups. If you got a good price and accompaniment is what you want, go for it.

But I personally feel that Yamaha is better at all these arranger keyboards just because they have been making them eons ago. They have thought of almost anything that an arranger keyboard needs. They have more styles and more variations - also more user friendly. And you can program different custom variations by using a computer (free utilities available).

Do a search on this topic. I recall somebody put up an excellent link to looking for different keyboards.

What is your budget? What music do you want to play with it (genre)?
