Am thinking of getting one?

Anyone owners here want to wax lyrical or b*tch about it? I need to know about its pros and cons from current owners before deciding. Any comment at all will help...

Thanks!

seriously very nice standard korg triton sound in the microX...hmm maybe you might wanna tell us more on what is your musical direction first...

I love the microx, It's basically a repackaged korg triton with additional sounds and most importantly the USB midi + USB editor software!

I have one that i've been using for over a year now on my gig, 6 days a week. Never let me down. For me it's a triton module (plus some other sound) with a free 2 octave keys.

does a microkorg or a microX require a laptop/software to use or can it just plug to a keyboard amp and play?

hey
i'm also intending to buy a microx.. but its out of stock in citymusic.
any1 has any idea where else can i get it from?
i hardly hear any talk about the microx and even in the buy/sell forum.. so i'm wondering if its even a popular synth/controller in singapore.. any owners out there tt disagrees? haha it will b good to have some reassurance

on a side note.. any1 has any idea where in sg do they sell NORD synths? in particular the NORD lead 2x/ wave..

hmm
but microkorg is more towards analog/vocoder kinda stuff right..
as a hardware synth (w/o the laptop) the microx has more variety right?

hmmm...in a sense you're right...microkorg is more towards the analog thing...but the microkorg and microX are 2 different animals. The microkorg is meant for creating your own sound from scratch, while a microX uses samplers preset in itself where you can mix and match the samples, its called rompler...I wouldn't agree that its really a synth. but yeah...

So if you want nice polish "Pop" kinda sound and you're not a tweaker, the microX is the one for you. If you want something more unique and more control, the microkorg will suit you.

The Mico-X is more tweak-able than you think. The filter sounds very good for something that is less than $600. You definitely can create some great filter sweeps with this baby.

The set of samples on board is very modern sounding as well.

In all, a great buy for less than $600.
