Thanks for that Bongman! Yes, I saw that in the HC video site. Somehow, it's not suprising that M3 wins the workstation section. Roland and Yamaha just can't beat the M3 features - at this stage.

What is REALLY surprising is that Emulator X2 won for the sampler section. I guess they don't want to give to Kontakt and Gigastudio since they already won before.

Just wondering - for the uninformed like me, what's so great about it?

Is it just the on-board sequencer? The keys? The arpeggiator and other bells & whistles like the Karma engine?

Or is it the synth itself that can produce great sounds?

We're looking for a good keyboard for our church and this is one of the shortlisted ones in the budget... from the pic I saw on citymusic's site, this looks like a toy

I must say that I'm quite partial to the Motif but since its out of our budget, I will be pushing the MO8 or the MO6 - haven't tried them yet to know which one i prefer.

Update : I got a mail from Adam of City Music that the M3 will be in in 1st week of June likely...

Price yet to be announced...I shall wait for December sale...to buy....
