im also curious whether its suitable for rock/punk music. or its a metal guitar

haha yeah i know la. but i heard alot of stories about MIC not having the correct wood specified and stuff. MIK seems to have better workmanship too. for the aesthetics department la i guess.

actually alot of MIC epis have proven themselves better than the MIK ones.

the whole story of having the "wrong" woods beneath isnt uncommon. so if it sounds good. why bother? its all about personal taste.

as far as mic's and mik's are concerned, im sure epiphone specifies a certain level of workmanship for a guitar to be shipped out, so no worries, sure there'll be slight glue stains and afew rough edges, but hey. character.

about wood inaccuracies- it's not just Chinese Epis, korean ones are equally dubious (it's about being Épiphone, nothing to do with country of origin). btw, it's not horrific if the wood delivers good tone & well constructed.
