the bass player in the band is a very inportant guy,is not the matter of getting the gals is the music that counts
no matter what instrument that you play
im a drummer and a bass player.i play drums professionally and play bass of and on gigs,not pro in bass
i play for the passion of music not for the gals
gals i want to get anytime,not when im playing my music
the bass player and the drummer are the rhythm section in the band V.I.P.
dont forget that
my point to your answer is this
if you play for the music then play for the music
if you play for chicks to get
then dont be a musician
no offences
but i hate that kinda of gesture
no wonder
ppl have different remarks about musician here
thats my view

I sure like the idea of a drum duet solo composition done by an International and SE-Asian drummer based on some drum solo compositions which are entertaining and unique - Kenny and (? US Drummer etc)....that would be nice.

but before that drum clinic at the end of may
for all drummers where drummers get together and chat after the clinic
i think is 2 and half hour clinic and a drum meet up sessions,only for drummers

Wah good :smt023 :smt023 :smt023 ...Bro izzit got someone want to do Clinic for us here har?.... Please let us (the Committee) know - so that the Meetup for May 2007 will be 2 1/2hr clinic (of course we all have to pay the drummer conducting it). Thks.
Tomorrow we have Drum Meetup - do I have to check or book the Auditorium at Ulu Pandan - or the Drummer conducting it have a Venue of his own - we just need to organise and get attendance har?....

I am planning to first call David Jones as he is one of the most innovative and legendary drummers in the World and a warm super human being !! He played for the biggest drum events in the world and many of his students are now renowned drummers. One of them is another buddy of mine Chris O' brien (also in my links & former student of David Jones) now residing in HK.
Another wonderful and damn killer percusssionist is Pete Lockette who played for Sinead O Connor, Pet Shop Boys and hundreds of mega stars and oh...... guess who?????? Yes .....Steve Smith.He is also in my links as we all have linked each others website.
I hope we can get a really good organizer as I can bring these guys down if we can find one. So if you know anyone, pls don't shy,shy to post lah.
Yes, its a good vibe & feeling this drumming comraderie is starting again so lets finally forget the "warzone daz" as its finally over ('') Remember my friends this world is too small for enemies.

u know david jones!! mannnn he is freaking unreallllllllll, the stuff he did with atmosphere is pretty phenomenal!!!
i took a lesson from him awhile ago when he did a master class at my uni. he is such a warm person. such interesting ideas on mental preparation.
my drum lec dave sanders was an ex pupil of his in sydney con. u have to bring him down, i wld really like to meet him again and say hi
